Cleaning
Post-renovation cleanup, move-out scrubs, and deep cleans that get a unit ready for photos or an inspection.
Licensed & Insured ยท San Francisco, CA
Over 20 years of licensed, insured work across every San Francisco neighborhood. Free estimates, same-day slots.
JL Handyman started with one truck, one toolbox, and a simple rule: show up when you say you will. Two decades later that rule still runs the business.
We take the repairs most contractors are too booked to touch. Drywall that needs patching before a walkthrough, a bedroom fan that never got installed, an exterior that has gone three summers without paint. One crew, one invoice, no subcontractor runaround.
What we do
Post-renovation cleanup, move-out scrubs, and deep cleans that get a unit ready for photos or an inspection.
New walls, ceilings, and closet builds hung, taped, and finished smooth enough to paint the same week.
Cracks, doorknob holes, water damage, and settling seams patched and blended until the fix disappears.
Outlets, switches, light fixtures, and panel troubleshooting handled to code by a licensed hand.
Prep, scrape, prime, and finish coats built for San Francisco fog, salt air, and afternoon sun.
Ceiling fans, bathroom exhaust fans, and range hoods mounted, wired, balanced, and tested.
Tell us what broke. We will give you a real arrival window, not a guess.
Twelve recent jobs across the city, from panel swaps in the Mission to full exterior repaints in the Sunset.
Full California licensing and liability coverage on every job, documented before we start.
Two decades of San Francisco housing stock, from 1900s Victorians to new condo builds.
You get a real arrival window and a call if anything shifts. No all-day waiting.
Written estimates before the first cut. No change orders you did not approve.
We know the permit desk, the parking rules, and how fog treats an exterior finish.
If the finished work is not right, we come back and correct it at no extra charge.
All of San Francisco proper, including the Mission, Sunset, Richmond, Noe Valley, Bernal Heights, SoMa, and the Marina. If you are just outside city limits, call and we will tell you honestly whether we can get to you.
Estimates are free. Small repairs are quoted as a flat rate once we see the job; larger work such as drywall hanging or a full exterior repaint is quoted by scope. You get the number in writing before any tool comes out of the truck.
Yes. JL Handyman carries California licensing and general liability insurance. We are happy to send proof of both before the first visit, and property managers can request it on file.
Most jobs are booked within two to three business days. We hold same-day slots each morning for urgent repairs, so call early if something needs attention today.
We take urgent calls during business hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Water damage, a dead circuit, or a hole that needs closing before a showing all qualify. For a gas leak or live wire hazard, call your utility first.
Every job carries a one-year workmanship warranty. If a patch cracks, a fixture loosens, or a finish fails because of how we installed it, we return and fix it at no charge.
Clear access to the work area, a parking suggestion if your block is tight, and any paint codes or fixture models you already own. That is usually enough to keep the visit to a single trip.
Twenty years in San Francisco. Licensed, insured, and back if anything is not right.
